We offer several walking tours through Paris, each with its own story and character. From Montmartre and Le Marais to walks that follow the development of Paris through the centuries. This way you do not just discover well-known places, but you also understand how the city became what it is today.

We also offer private tours. A private tour means: no fixed route, no fixed times, no strangers in the group. You choose the neighbourhood, the theme and the pace yourself, and you have the full attention of one guide.

For StepByStep it is not about cramming as many sights and facts as possible into two hours. We tell the stories behind the places you see, draw connections between the past and the Paris of today and give you personal tips along the way. So you do not just see more of Paris - you understand the city better too.

No. History is an important part of our tours, but Paris is not an open-air museum. We also show how the city lives today and how the past is still visible in daily life.

Absolutely. Your guide lives in Paris and knows the city beyond the route. Feel free to ask where to eat well after the walk, which bakery is worth a visit, which exhibition you should not miss or which neighbourhood to explore next.

Yes. You choose your tour, date and time online and pay right away. You then receive a confirmation of your booking.

No back-and-forth emails and no waiting for someone to look at your request: when you book, you know exactly where you stand.

Yes, depending on the tour a minimum number of participants is required. If this minimum is not reached, we cancel the tour and refund the full amount.

Our regular walking tours are deliberately small, with a maximum of 8 or 10 participants.

No crowds trailing a guide and no megaphone you can still hear three streets away. In a small group there is room for questions, conversation and personal tips.

In principle, yes. Paris unfortunately does not always show its sunniest side, but a little rain does not have to spoil a good walk.

In exceptionally bad or unsafe weather, a tour may be adjusted or cancelled. If that happens, we will of course get in touch with you.
