When you book a tour, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number and the number of participants. If you use the contact form, ask a question about a tour or request a private tour, we collect your name, email address, phone number and message.

Payments are processed by our payment provider SumUp. We do not store your card details. We also collect anonymised visitor statistics through Umami.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to manage your booking, confirm your tour and send practical information, to answer your questions and to process payments and refunds through SumUp. Anonymised statistics help us improve our website.

4. Legal basis

Bookings and payments are processed to perform the contract with you. Answering your questions and improving the website are based on our legitimate interest. We never sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Sharing your data

We share your data with SumUp to process payments and with our email provider to send booking confirmations and support emails. We never sell your data.

6. Retention period

Booking and payment data is kept for as long as French tax and accounting law requires (up to 10 years for accounting documents). Contact messages are kept for a maximum of 2 years after our last contact. Anonymised statistics are kept without any personally identifying information.

7. Analytics

This website uses Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Only anonymised, aggregated statistics are stored.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or transfer your personal data, and to object to or request a restriction of its processing. To do so, contact us at info@stepbystep.paris. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
